Ease of Doing Business and Unlocking values leveraging AI and Digital"

On 16th May 2026 a workshop was held at 6pm at UCCIL Recreation Center On " Ease of Doing Business and Unlocking values leveraging AI and Digital" .The workshop was conducted by PWC spearheaded by Dr Prabodh Mohanty President UCCIL.Setting the context Dr Prabodh Mohanty President UCCIL emphasised the role of Digitisation and use of AI in mining and manufacturing.There were two panel discussion and the panelists in the first panel discussion " Green Metal and Resilient Mining " and the panelists were Er S.S Mohanty CEO & MD Essar Minmet, MR Pawan Somani President and Head Essel Mining, Mr Kalyan Banerjee Chief Sustainability officer JSL, Mr Gaurav Sharma CMO Facor and the moderation was done by Mr Sandeep Mohanty Partner PWC. This was followed by a talk on " Leadership Insights - Transformation Mindset for Business Excellence" by Soumik Goswami Partner and Market Leader PWC India this was followed by a talk on Industry X unveiled - Mining and Power Generation by Dr Prabodh Mohanty President UCCIL who emphasised on how Digitization and use of AI in his mines SNM has helped in increasing efficiency in operations and Execution.This was followed by another Panel Discussion " Next Age Manufacturing with AI/ Industry the panelists were Mr Saunak Gupta CFO IMFA, Mr Gagan Bihari Swain Director Finance OPGC , Mr Ghanashyam Parida Head Projects Odisha AN/MS and Mr Kalyan Banerjee Chief Sustainability officer JSL.The Workshop ended with Closing Remark and Vote of Thanks by Dr Sanjeev Mahapatra Hony Secretary UCCIL followed by Net working Dinner hosted by SNM GROUP Coordinated by Shri Narayan Kumar Hony Treasurer and Director UCCIL.
