On 29th August 2025 at 3pm at the Lily Banquet hall of Hotel Mayfair, bhubaneswar.An Focused Group Discussion on Industry was conducted on " Sustainable Green Transition " by Climate Trends an Research & Consultancy organisation focused on Climate Change in collaboration in collaboration with Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ltd, Bhubaneswar
Two papers were presented followed by discussion
1) Policy on Decarbonisation and Available of clean Technology
2) Environment, Social and Governance Criteria , Climate and Green Finance
The presentations were followed by Focussed Group Discussion amongst the participants triggered by Questions by the moderators
The following participated in the discussion Shri J.k Rath Vice President Industry UCCIL, Shri Murali Jamula Vice President, Commerce, UCCIL, Dr Sanjeev Mahapatra, moderated the session, Expert comments were given by Shri Amarjyoti Mahapatra, Advisory Committee Member UCCIL, Shri Biswajit Mohanty, Chairman Environment committee, UCCIL gave the concluding remarks. There were others experts and representatives from various mega industries that participated were Shri Bijay ketan Mishra from Media and Esteemed Advisory Committee Member UCCIL, Shri Anil Dhir convenor INTACH and renowned Environmentalist,Dr Amar Mahapatra EX Director ICMR, MR Durga from AIC Nalanda , Dr Duryodhana Jena ,Prof ITER school of Management, Dr Gadhadhar Mohapatra Retd IFS officer , Shri Ashwini Mohanty Ex TATA Steel and Renowned expert on Forest & Environment, Shri Pradysha Samantaray Senior Manager Environment, TATA STEEL, Shri Satyanarayan Nayak, Associate GM JSL, Subhramaya Panda , Manager Environment,IMFA, Shri Soubhagya Tripathi, Head Corporate Services, HINDALCO, Senior level representation from Vedanta, Shri Subrat Panigrahi, Environment committee member UCCIL, Shri Tathagata Tripathi, Director B ONE Business House .
From Climate Trends there were senior level representatives namely Mr Mrinmoy Chattand, Mr Soham, Mr Sitez Jha, Mr Aniruddha Bhattacharya and Ms Anshi Rajkhowa
The discussion churned out many issues and climate trend and UCCIL agreed to conduct a series of workshops including with that of senior Buerocrats and policy maker and come out with a white paper of Sustainable Green Transition
Overall it was a very fruitful and productive Discussion
